When I was young I was quiet. Being a chubby little foreign child meant that I was the target of jokes and banter. The way children can say things without thinking of the consequences. No parents in the playground to say shush that’s not a nice thing to say and teachers can’t be everywhere.
As a result I grew up feeling ‘different’ and with body confidence issues. I was shy and withdrawn
but
I DID want to go places, I wanted to travel, I wanted to climb the career ladder and I wanted to make my parents proud.
My parents left their country - Myanmar, their friends and family with 3 young children to ‘give us a better life’. I really admire their strength and courage. I often think how desperate they must have been to do that, because sitting in my comfy home moving away from my social network and support is a hard thought.
So I worked hard to overcome the limiting beliefs that held me back, got my voice heard and developed an inner resilience that my friends admire.
I have now travelled the world and I have work in management for large corporates.
My interest in personal development and alleviating stress never stopped and I use my knowledge
today to help people achieve their dreams and ambitions by becoming stronger and more confident.
