Summary
Mark joined WP Thompson in 2023 as a European Patent Attorney in the chemistry and life sciences team. Prior to joining WP Thompson, Mark worked for a large multinational patent firm in the Netherlands.
Mark’s practice includes the filing and prosecution of patent applications in a variety of fields, but he has particular experience in the pharmaceutical, food chemistry and medical device fields. He has worked with a wide range of national and international clients, including large multinational companies and SMEs, to prosecute and manage patent applications across the globe.
Mark also has substantial experience in opposition and appeal proceedings having worked on over 40 cases for a variety of multinational companies, with a particular focus on nutritional compositions.
Mark has a PhD in natural product synthesis and a first class Master’s Degree in Chemistry, both from the University of Manchester.
